What is Apollo Edition?

Apollo Edition introduces a new element to the classic Pokémon experience—this time, you're cast as the villain! Become a grunt of Team Rocket and take on the wicked life of stealing Pokémon, robbing trainers, and causing havoc throughout the Kanto region. There are no gym battles here; instead, you earn badges through illicit deeds such as snatching away the Secret Key in Cerulean City or stealing Cubone skulls through Pokémon Tower.

With updated Gen 1 and 2 Pokémon, movesets, and some custom attacks for neglected Pokémon, it gives the familiar world of Pokémon a whole lot of new life... but with a much darker tone.

How to Play

Begin as a Rocket recruit—choose from Ekans, Koffing, or Grimer as your starter.
Steal Pokémon and objects—battle trainers across cities, houses, and dungeons, claiming their Pokémon or loot.
Carry out criminal tasks—replace gym badges with illegal operations like fossil robberies in Mt. Moon.
Evolve without trading—use the Glow Stone, a new item for evolving Pokémon that require trades.
Avoid the law—police will stop you at every chance, but keep on.

Tips & Tricks

Explore everywhere—hidden town and cave interactions may yield rare Pokémon or prized items.
Upgrade your team—take the strongest Pokémon from trainers to build an unbeatable criminal team.
Use custom moves—some forgotten Pokémon are given special moves, so try them all out.
Keep an eye on day and night—some encounters and events might be time-dependent.

History

Apollo Edition has turned upside-down the classical Pok�mon journey, whereby rather than aspiring to become a champion, you instead rise in the ranks of Team Rocket. The game draws upon influences from the anime, featuring rare character appearances, as well as introducing newer gameplay aspects that include the Physical/Special split and Gen 4-5 moves.
