What Is Valor Edition?

Valor Edition is a new Pokémon fan game that harks back to the classic Gen 1 days with plenty of new changes added. Set 30 years after the events of Pokémon Red, Valor Edition follows an adventure in the never-before-seen Valor region where Team Rocket has stolen 10 brand new Eeveelutions, each representing an absent type (Poison, Fighting, Flying, etc.). You begin your journey at Port Fromage and travel through eccentric towns such as Mozzarella City and Feta Town to recover stolen Pokémon, collect Gym Badges, and take on the Pokémon League at Gouda Plateau.

With Gen 1 nostalgic vibes combined with quality-of-life improvements (early Running Shoes, no HM checks), Valor Edition really is an amalgamation of the best of both worlds. While at it, watch for clues concerning Easter Egg Island and an underground Black Market!

How to Play

Explore the Valor Region: Journey through cities, caves, and routes to put one over on Team Rocket.
Catch & Level Up: Gain experience through catching Pokémon and train them while experiencing fewer restrictions related to trades.
Gym Battle: Defeat Gym Leaders to get badges and qualify for the Pokémon League.
Recover the Eeveelutions: Find the 10 stolen Pokémon to finalize Professor Vine's research.
Discover Secrets: Hunt for Easter Eggs, custom trainers, Black Market, and other hidden places.

Tips & Trick

Grab the Running Shoes & Fly First: These are available nice and early, so use them to save time!
Pokéball Vending Machine: Stock up on supplies in the Department Store.
Grind Wisely: Since catching Pokémon awards XP, build your teams with an eye on efficiency.
Check Out Easter Egg Island: Loads of inside jokes and rare items (Rare Candy!).
Keep an Eye Out for Updates: The game is still in Beta (around 60% complete), so expect much more content coming!

History

Valor Edition is a fan project meant to pay homage to the simplicity of Gen 1 while adding highly sought-after features (like missing Eeveelutions). The Beta 1.2 version will lay ground for expansions into Gens 2–3 in the future.
