What Is Pokémon Prism?

Pokémon Prism is a fan ROM hack that follows the story of a new gigantic journey set in an entirely new region: Naljo. Being the child of Lance (yes, that Lance from the Elite Four), your adventure starts after a runaway mine cart lands you in Naljo: A region focused on rapid industrialization at the expense of its natural balance. With Lost Larvitar at your side, your goal is to gather eight Naljo badges, restore harmony to the region, and discover the truth behind its corruption.

The game is not just any other Pokémon clone. It's full of original content, including new types (Gas and Sound), 252 Pokémon from Gen 1 to Gen 4, side-scrolling areas, crafting skills, and a Gold Token trading system.

How to Play

Explore Naljo & Rijon: Traverse a massive world with 10 unique towns, hidden caves, and secret areas.
Battle & Train: Challenge gym leaders, wild Pokémon, and trainers to strengthen your team.
Craft & Upgrade: Master four crafting skills to create useful items.
Collect Gold Tokens: Hunt down 80 hidden tokens for special rewards.
New Mechanics: Experience Gas and Sound-type Pokémon, a revamped TM/HM system, and an in-game clock tracking days and seasons.

History

Pokémon Prism began as a fan-driven project, building off the base of Pokémon Crystal while introducing wholly new mechanics and storylines. After Nintendo issued a DMCA to take down the game, it was resurrected by the community, with newer iterations like v0.95.0253 polishing the game's mechanics and throwing in extra content.
