What is Pokémon Pisces?

An exciting ROM hack completely re-engineering the Emerald Pokémon experience. Created basically as a decompilation project, it reworks the familiar Hoenn region with a newly designed map, a brand-new storyline, new characters, and over 200 brand-new Fakemon. Whether you're a veteran Pokémon player or new to the world of ROM hacks, Pisces will wow you with an all-new adventure full of innovations—new characters, moves, abilities, and types make this feel like a whole new game.

How to Play

Since Pokémon Pisces is a ROM hack, the user will need:

A legitimately obtained Pokémon Emerald ROM (from your own cartridge).
A Game Boy Advance (GBA) emulator (for example, mGBA or VisualBoyAdvance).
The Pokémon Pisces patch file (usually of the .ips or .ups format).

Once you have patched the ROM, load it into your emulator and begin your trek through the reimagined Hoenn.

Tips & Tricks

Explore everywhere! There is a completely remapped Hoenn with tons of hidden areas and secrets. Be sure to talk with every NPC, and occasionally revisit places as you advance.
Try different Fakemon. With over 200 new Pokémon and probably more than one possible team combination, building your team has never been more exciting.
Familiarize yourself with abilities. Many are unique and change the flow of battles. Read the descriptions!
Save names. ROM Hacks are not always predictable. You will want to save regularly to avoid losing progress due to an accidental crash.

History

Pokémon Pisces was created by the Pebbler Platoon, a team of very talented people also known for other ROM hacks like Pokémon Altered. The project took years to bring to fruition, employing artists, coders, mappers, and musicians working towards one shared goal: a fresh yet nostalgic Pokémon experience.

Because ROM Hacks exist outside the realm of official distribution, you will not be able to see Pokémon Pisces on mainstream platforms.
