What is Pokémon Emerald Imperium?

Ledger hacked a thrilling ROM, a reworked Pokémon Emerald, making it way more challenging and a lot more strategic. Those who love a good fight will see battles becoming even more interesting, with mechanics set up in a modern way and other enhancements in place for the benefit of respecting Hoenn's nostalgic appeal. Inspired by Pokémon Radical Red, smarter AI and bigger movepools are the order of the day here, including Pokémon from Gen 1–9 (some Legendary still in the making). Whether you're a Nuzlocke or just wanting to try something different with Emerald, this hack should satisfy both depth and replayability.

How to Play

Hop into the altered Hoenn where every battle holds some stake! Some key mechanics are:

Difficulty Modes: Choose from either Normal (for a decent challenge, forced 'Set' battle style) or Easy (much easier but much harder than the basic one).
Minimal Grinding Mode (MGM): Toggle the thing through which all Pokémon get IVs at the best level, and EVs are disabled, thus saving you from the burdensome process of stat training.
Randomizer Options: Mess with your encounters randomly with species/ability randomization (scaled, legendary-aware, or fully random).
Modern Features: Mega Evolution, DexNav, Following Pokémon, reusable TMs, PC from anywhere.

Progression follows and sticks to the story of Emerald but has more bosses, like Dawn as a rival, and legendary events to look forward to in the postgame.

Tips & Tricks

Boss Fights: Gym Leaders and Team Aqua/Magma fights are brutal. Try to build your team around coverage moves and synergy.
MGM in Your Favor: Enable MGM if you hate grinding to focus on strategy alone.
QoL Shortcuts: Speed through dialogues by holding R. Heal for free with PokeVial, and sort your bag with a single button.
Hidden Power: Ask the Mauville NPC to change Hidden Power's type after perfecting IVs (unless MGM is on).

Backstory

Emerald Imperium is a hack made by iriv24 that builds and evolves the ideas of Radical Red while carving its own identity through additions such as custom Megas (e.g., Gen 4 starters) and converted Gigantamax forms. The 1.0 release features the full main story and post-game, with more updates in the works.
