What Is Pokemon Black Dark?

Pokemon Black Dark is a fan-made GBA ROM hack that is dark and somewhat difficult in its rendition of the Pokemon experience. The game has altered gameplay mechanics and has stronger opponents and a new perspective of this monster-catching adventure on the existing Pokemon game. Any old Pokemon fan or new one can appreciate this unique take on the RPG formula with strategic battles and some nostalgic retro flair.

How to Play

The Default control setting in almost all emulators for GBA can be used:

Direction Keys: ← → ↑ ↓ (Arrow keys)
Start: Enter (↵)
Select: Shift
B button: Z
A button: X
L button: A
R button: D

The arc of the story goes the usual way for Pokemon games—explore the area, battle opposing trainers, forge a team of your own, and conquer gyms and the Pokemon League. Meanwhile, the AI will be tougher, and Pokemon encounters will also be different from the generally known types.

Train smart: Since enemy trainers are harder, ensure your team is leveled before major battles.
Cover weaknesses: Balance your team with varied types.
