What is Pokémon Rojo Fuego?

Pokémon Rojo Fuego (FireRed) is offered to classic Game Boy Advance RPGs that breathe new life into the original Pokémon Red adventure, introducing updated graphics, better game mechanics, and newer features. Considered a remastered Kanto trip down memory lane with a limited number of quality-of-life improvements, it is a great title for both the huge fan and newcomer. Catch, train, and battle to become a Pokémon Champion with smoother mechanics and enhanced post-game content.

Gameplay

Moving: Hit the arrow keys (←→↑↓).
Confirm/Interact: Use Z (B button) or Enter (Start) for menus.
Cancel: X(A button).
Run: Hold down Shift (Select) while outside battles.
Menu Shortcuts: Pressing A(L) and D(R) turns Pokédex or the bag on and off.

Tips & Tricks

Learn Your Type Match-Ups: Fire, Water and Grass are basically one triangle—you want to hit weaknesses whenever possible to make your battles easier.
Catch ‘Em All: Save your Poké Balls for Pokémon on low HP or status condition (paralysis or sleep).
Train Carefully: Carefully balance the levels of your team to prevent yourself from leaning too often on a single Pokémon.
Being a Thorough Guy: Hidden items and TMs are tucked away somewhere in the corners (Flamethrower, etc.).

History

First introduced in 2004, Pokémon FireRed (Spanish: Rojo Fuego) was the "Gen 3" remake, tying the classic Game Boy titles into the present era. It included features such as using the Vs. Seeker to rematch trainers and a post-game area, the Sevii Islands, which helped cement the idea of the definitive way to experience Kanto.
