What Is Sonicmon Fire Red?

Sonicmon Fire Red, a fan-made ROM hack, combines elements of Pokémon Fire Red and Sonic the Hedgehog. Made by avid fans, this game takes the original 151 Pokémon and substitutes them with Sonic-style "Badniks" in a new sort of RPG adventures. The player's job is to capture, train, and fight with Sonic characters while exploring the Kanto region under a brand-new storyline, with different locations and game mechanics.

This insane creation was initiated by a hardcore group of Sonic and Pokémon fans, modding Fire Red to swap Pokemon with characters from Tails, Knuckles, to robots of Dr. Eggman. Their motivation was passion, creating a beautiful nostalgia trip with entirely new experiences for fans of both franchises.
