What is Azure Horizons Edition?

The names say it all: Azure Horizons Edition is a new adventure for Pokémon in a brand-new Zephyr region where one can be an aspiring trainer following in legendary footsteps of his brother. However, the twist in the tale appears when the dastardly Team Tundra arrives to wreak havoc throughout the region! Merging traditional aesthetics with competing with modern aura, some of the best selections include ADV-gen Pokémon, Diamond & Pearl concept, and revamped sprite designs, all churning nostalgic yet somehow innovative kind of vibe.

How to Play

Explore Zephyr: Fill the environment with your footsteps, learn the secrets locked within, and take on gym challenges-for-greatness.
Battle & Train: Put together a team from the ADV-gen 386 Pokémon, fight hard climbing up against ranks with strategy and type advantages.
Unravel the Mystery: Explore the ominous agendas of Team Tundra while creating partnerships or rivalries with characters that do leave an impression.
Sidequests & Events: Reward yourself by forgoing main story events, diving into a host of sidequests.
Progress Through Gyms: After your 4th Gym, end of your journey; did I mention it would be a short-yet-engaging experience?

Tips & Tricks

Diversify Your Team: There is a mixture of ADV-gen Pokémon; always ensure your team is balanced to face off against any foe.
Watch for Sprite Changes: Some of these Pokémon are presented with the Diamond & Pearl sprites, which is that fresh touch for us all.
Use Running Indoors: Running inside buildings is going to save you some time, isn't it? This feature was taken from D/P/P.
Pay Attention to Themes: Different battles will have different music for you to focus on and enjoy!

History

Azure Horizons Edition was the blending of the old-school Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald elements with more modern implementations from Diamond & Pearl. The game, with a new region, story, and features, still kept the charm of the original ADV era. With decapitalized text, additional battle themes, and quality-of-life improvements, we have a really nice fan project.
