What is Topaz Edition?

Pokémon Topaz Edition is a fan-made, fakemon-filled adventure-type that opposes the typical Pokémon game. Here, the game breaks the mold by having the player assume the role of a fresh Team Rocket recruit assigned to capture rare Pokémon for Giovanni's shady deals. The game is set in the newly introduced Topaz region that provides a darker, gritty take on the Pokémon universe with more than 200 original fakemon to be discovered in a fully-fledged storyline.

How to Play

Your goal is to obey Giovanni as you capture as many rare Pokémon as you can, always trying to avoid encounters with the Pokémon Police. You start in a little capital city called Shawford, where you will find yourself completely unwelcome. Here are some essential things you need to know:

Capture Fakemon: Employ the traditional mechanics of Pokémon capture, but for less-than-noble deeds.
Avoid Getting Caught: Being stealthy and strategic matters or else you risk getting caught.
Impress Giovanni: Get promotions based on impressing Giovanni and gain access to new areas.
