What is Rocket Science Edition?

Ever wondered what life would be like working for the other side? In Rocket Science Edition, you become a Team Rocket scientist working on an assignment presented by the disguised Giovanni. Following his defeat at Silph Co., the boss calls together his agents and assigns them with another dark task: the creation of super-powered Pokémon. As the field agent of the team, one will traverse Kanto to sabotage RED (the hero from FireRed) and conduct shady operations. This fan-made twist on the classic Pokémon formula offers a darkly enchanting version of the already familiar world of Kanto.

How to Play

Complete Missions: Carry out assignments from Giovanni that involve everything from sabotage to Pokémon experimentation.
Explore the Kanto Region: Traverse familiar sites under new orders—no need for gym badges, just the objective in hand.
Remain Unseen: While running your operations, stealth and cleverness will keep you out of trouble. Getting noticed by trainers or RED spells downfall for you.
Experiment & Enhance: Strengthen and modify Pokémon, or create new ones, with resources at the disposal of Team Rocket.

Tips and Tricks

Stay Under Cover: There will be missions requiring that you do not fight opponents—plan your route carefully.
Use Underhanded Tactics: Now that you aren't the typical Pokémon trainer on the other hand, use every trick in the book such as status effects and ambushes.
Experiment with Caution: Not all modifications to Pokémon will work. Be sure to save your game prior to any risky enhancements.
Keep an Eye out for RED: He's ever-present. If you spot him, think about different courses of action.

Rocket Science Edition is a fan-made Pokémon ROM hack that reinterprets the Pokémon FireRed story from the Team Rocket perspective.
