What is Pokémon Snap?
The legendary Nintendo 64 classic is an amalgamation of photography and Pokémon adventure. Unlike most traditional Pokémon games in which you can battle and train, here you take up Todd Snap who is a budding photographer and his assignments are basically to catch the best pictures of wild Pokémon in the wild. It is unique, relaxing, and looks good while it means that you actually get a chance to see Pokémon performing actions like splashing in rivers, laying in meadows, soaking in sunlight, or performing the very rare.

Tips & Tricks
- Patience is a virtue: Wait for a great shot. Some Pokémon will only strike rare poses if you observe them long enough.
- Bait and distract: Use apples to coax Pokémon into better positions or wake them up.
- Opt for the unusual: Professor Oak will assign you more points for recording rare behavior, close-ups, and centered compositions.
- Flare up your angle: Tilt the camera (AL/QZ keys) for a cinematic shot.
History
Pokémon Snap was released in 1999 for the Nintendo 64 and was a groundbreaking spin-off that showed Pokémon in 3D for the first time. Its on-rails style of photography was truly innovative and quickly gained quite a few cult followers because of its laid-back appeal and nostalgic charms. Within today's standards, simple in design, the core idea inspired later games like New Pokémon Snap for the Nintendo Switch.
