What Exactly is Pokémon Delta Green?

Pokémon Delta Green is a fan-created reskin and sequel to the classic Pokémon LeafGreen, so it takes place several years after the original Kanto journey. This is not your typical Kanto adventure, with the Genie on hand to humor you; instead, it is difficult, deep, and darkly cynical. Known Rocket has become more ambitious, legendary Pokémon are part of a larger conspiracy, and an enigmatic figure by the name of Xenon looms over the region. With new quests, map changes, and tougher battles, Delta Green is designed to provide an experienced Pokémon trainer with touches of nostalgia within a fresh experience.

The Gameplay System

Explore a Reworked Kanto: Some completely remodeled areas exist in this version of the Kanto region that the player must explore.
Choose Your Own Adventure: Side quests on occasion influence what types of encounters one has, as well as how the story will build.
Fight Smart: Generate a lot of prestige; it's a much-harder game than usual!**

Sides Are Worth Doing: Several side quests will open up special encounters and unique rewards.
Better Be Ready For Big Battles: Brock and Misty are back with changed teams that you must not take lightly.

History & Development

Starting as a mere demo, Delta Green slowly evolved through different updates during its beta phase (more currently at v1.1.6); ironing out bugs, rebalancing starters, and tweaking other gameplay aspects. The release date for the full game was projected for 2018, but even so, the game is already complete in its present state Plus offers a lot of challenge up to Rocket Islands.
