What is Deltarune?
Deltarune is an episodic pixel-art RPG set in a parallel universe to Undertale, combining the nostalgic vibe with modern storytelling. The player controls Kris, a human who gets pulled into the mysterious Dark World alongside an unusual party consisting of the fiery Susie and the gentler Ralsei. The game provides turn-based battles in which you must dodge bullets and interact with characters deeply filled with a captivating linear storyline comprising humor, secrets, and very challenging choices.
Getting Started
- Movement: Arrow keys

In some well-planned fights you can fight, act, or spare enemies-there are no random battles, meaning every fight is in your face beforehand. Select who does what and fine-tune your spells with the "Tension" system. Outside of combat, solve puzzles and explore a thoroughly detailed game world.
Tips & Tricks
- Master Dodging: The bullet-hell stages reward good dodging, so keep your eyes on the attack patterns.
- Balance Actions: Sometimes sparing an enemy or selecting particular "Acts" can unlock unique dialogue or rewards.
- Party Synergies: Experiment with different team compositions. Susie's brute force paired with Ralsei's healing works well with Kris's flexibility.
- Explore Thoroughly: There are hidden bosses and lore insights tucked away in corners of the Dark World.

- Deltarune's Delta Rune symbol is a subtle tie-in with Undertale mythology, yet the game is a standalone story in a separate continuity.
- First chapter released unexpectedly in 2018, with creator Toby Fox teasing forthcoming entries.
- The cryptic message on the installer—"ACCEPT EVERYTHING THAT WILL HAPPEN FROM NOW ON."—foreshadows meta-narrative twists within the game.
- Chapters 3–5 are currently under development, which should bring more of Deltarune's trademark mayhem and heart.
