What Is Breakanoids?

Breakanoid is a speedy, futuristic brick-breaking arcade game inspired by classics such as Arkanoid. As a commander defending the galaxy, you get to smash through 100 levels filled with bricks, enemies, and epic bosses using our trusty ricocheting ball and a myriad of power-ups, all powered by a synthwave soundtrack. With sleek looks and intense action, this is quite a re-imagining of breakout.

How to Play

Keyboard: Use the right arrow key to move your paddle to the right and the left arrow key to move to the left. Press Space to release the ball.
Mouse: Press the left mouse button to release the ball.
Touchscreen: Tap the screen once to shoot the ball straight upward.

Your quest? To clear all levels by breaking every brick while avoiding obstacles and enemies. Better be watching for power-ups to improve your firepower!

Tips & Tricks

Corners are your friends: Angles ricochet the ball down the most distances.12
Power-ups before everything: Take them whether they give you multi-ball or laser beams to steamroll through the hardest levels.
Boss battles: Study the attack patterns and stay prepared!
Paddle control: Keep moving smoothly and quietly; it's easy to lose the ball with jerky moves.

BACKGROUND

Breakanoid injects a sci-fi theme into the Arkanoid formula, introducing layered levels, various enemies, and an atmospheric synthwave soundtrack. Although breakout games date back to Breakout (1976), this iteration ups the challenge with 10 different zones and competitive leaderboards.
